The International Thespian Society has been honoring excellence in the work of theatre students since 1929.  Thespian troupes serve students in grades nine through twelve.  There are at present active ITS troupes in more than 4,000 high schools and middle schools, mostly in the United States and Canada.  The Society consists of over 2.3 million members.

Each troupe is led by a troupe director who is a professional member of the Educational Theatre Association.  Students earn an invitation to Thespian Society membership on the basis of their achievements in the school's theatre program.  Membership is available once a student has earned 10 points by being involved in a school theatre program.  Whether acting on the stage or working on a show crew, points are awarded based on the role or job the student performed.

Members of the troupe may attend the state convention  in November, where they can attend shows, workshops, compete in acting and tech competitions, as well as audition for scholarships and college programs.  Members may also travel to the International Thespian Festival held during the last week of June every year.

Thespian Troupe #6151 is a dedicated group of young artists who reach out to the community and perform acts of service as well as performing onstage. The International Thespian Society is a great way for students to get involved, serve the community and become a part of a close and creative family.   Meetings are held monthly during the school year, the meeting schedule is posted on the home page when available.   Come to a meeting and join us!

Students must accrue 10 points through participation in Reagan theatre productions either as a performer or crew member.  Students must enter their points using the form linked at the bottom of the page.  All points must be entered by prospective member by the Friday before Spring Break each year as member induction occurs in April.  If you have earned 10 points, you will be invited to join the membership of our troupe.

Members can continue to accrue points throughout their high school career and attain higher levels of membership:  Honor Thespian, National Honor Thespian, and International Honor Thespian.
